FINAL decision: Hindi na sasali si Winwyn Marquez sa 56th edition ng Binibining Pilipinas sa June 2019.

Hinayang na hinayang ang mga supporters ni WinWyn dahil naniniwala ang mga ito na malaki ang tsansa niyang makuha ang Miss Universe Philippines title.

Hmmm… Give chance to others? Takot ma-‘Thank you, girls’? No need to join dahil title holder na siya?

Matatandaang sumali sa Binibining Pilipinas si Winwyn noong 2015 pero hindi pinalad magwagi. Nakabawi naman siya noong 2017 dahil siya ang kinoronahang Reina Hispanicoamericana, the first Asian beauty to do so.

So, ano ba talaga ang rason ng pag-ayaw ng beauty queen-actress na mag-Binibini uli?

“Thank you so much to everyone that shared their kind words and comments these past few months. I’ve read all your messages and comments,” bungad ni Marquez sa kanyang official statement.

“I’m so humbled by your thoughts and words of encouragement in joining this pageant season.

“Sobrang nakakataba po ng puso but due to my work commitments and upcoming projects with my current network, I will not be able to join BBP since I have an existing contract and projects lined up.

“Due to the nature of the competition, BBP has strict rules that you cannot have existing contracts when joining.”

Aaahhh! ‘Yun naman pala! Kailangang mag-concentrate sa isa lang to be able to succeed and do things well.

Sige, Winwyn. Proceed ka na lang sa next phase of your career or journey. Keber… sa sasabihin ng bashers! Hahaha!

Well-attended ang dialogue meeting na ipinatawag ni Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño-Seguerra at dinaluhan ng mga producers, distributors and theater owners nitong Miyerkoles, Marso 13. Layon ng pagpupulong na talakayin ang mga policies and guidelines sa pagpapalabas ng mga pelikula sa local cinemas sa buong Pilipinas.

Saad ni Chair Liza sa kanyang Facebook post dated March 14:

“Since the goal is to achieve concrete results, one of the achievements (of the dialogue meeting) is the agreement to switch the opening day of cinemas from Wednesday to FRIDAY. We still have to wait until the rest is finalized for this to take effect, but at least we are moving forward.”

Sana naman ay maging positive o favorable ang resulta ng bagong movie playdate ng bansa.
